I am a young enthusiast in DIY cooking. From early childhood, I grew up in a home where my parents experiment with different dishes and cooking techniques. Pushed by that atmosphere I started to enjoy cooking like my own way to express creativity. In my professional life, I am a biotechnologist and entrepreneur, and for me, the kitchen is like another place for experimenting and innovation.
One of the fields that I am personally interested in is the safety of everyday items. During my cooking journey, I started to feel very concerned about the health effects caused by different items related to food storage and preparing. I was surprised how huge is the gap between some stereotypes related to different types of cookware and relevant scientific data. After several years of studying molecular biology and other scientific fields I become conches how widely we are exposed to things that negatively affect our health, especially when it comes to food and cooking. I always have a desire to share awareness with others and I see spreading the knowledge about this like something that gives me a huge value in life.
This is my personal blog on exploring and experimenting with different cookware equipment and investigating its safety properties from a scientific point of view. Within my posts I will try to share some relevant scientific knowledge(not judgment) along with some practical experience from my cooking projects. I find my knowledge and passion for science as a very helpful tool in researching and understanding cooking and food safety. I will try to provide you with research data and conclusions made by the scientific community, government authorities, and government independent organizations.
Apart from my motivation and my story about this blog, in the following chapters of this page I would like to share more about who I am
About me
My online journey
I feel very motivated and I want to transfer my motivation to others, to share the passion for learning new things, the fredom to try and fail, and love for experiencing the challenge. I hope ihis is only the first niche website in the row that I am going to create. There is a lot of work in front of that. However, I feel fulfillment when I share the value with society and I strongly believe that I will succeed.
P.S. Recently I have started my Youtube channel called Interested In everything where I would also like to share my projects, experiments, and experiences from different fields. The channel I still in the beginning but I will keep engaged so I can grow it to place with diverse and valuable content soon.
I find the blog as a perfect channel for sharing awareness and my knowledge. Even I was totally unfamiliar with front end development and blog content making. I decided to learn something new and to open a new through which I can share value with the world.
I started to work on my knowledge about creating websites from zero several months ago, nevertheless I was really motivated with the goal to create this website. That is exactly how this blog is created, but I won’t stop here!
Cooking and safety of everyday items is something that I am passionate about, and it become particularly awesome when I combine those two together. However, I find my self like someone who enjoys being dedicated to multiple things. The list of things that I enjoy goes on from extreme sports like diving and hitchhiking to smart gardening and electronics.
My journey as a student and scientist
I finish my bachelor’s degree at Belgrade University in Serbia(South-Eastern Europe) and I have obtained a degree in molecular biology and physiology. I specialized my self in biotechnology and crop genetics. During 2019 I went to Justus Liebig University in Germany where I shared my experience in the biotechnology field with my colleagues from Germany.
During this year I enrolled international master program dedicated to biotechnology, which includes attending universities in France and Estonia including the University of Champagne Ardene, Telin Tech University, and AgroParisTech. My previous scientific knowledge really helps me to deeply explore and understand topics like this one that I am sharing withy through this blog.
My journey as an entrepreneur
Within the last several years I work on the development of a biobased air purification device . Air pollution the problem that affects almost the whole global population. Several years ago I came up with the idea of making a home, self-standing, air purifier based on microalgae. I combined my enthusiasm and expertise along with three university colleagues and we created a company called AlgiOx. We aim to develop a commercial-scale product based on photosynthesis, which will be able to remove the CO2 along with pollutants from the air while generating oxygen. You can find more information about this story if you go here.
Scientists are creating technology but entrepreneurs are ones that use that technology to challenge problems. As a scientist I was always interested in applied research, furthermore, my entrepreneur side has been constantly driven by global problems. However, I think the story doesn’t end with the scientist who makes discoveries and the entrepreneur who works on solving different problems. I feel like one part is missing there. That part refers to someone who will use the achievements of others to tell the story and to motivate the world to be creative, to challenge the problems, to go beyond the limits. That Is why I decided to start a blog (along with other channels of content sharing) I think that personal projects are just a half of the story, the other half is to motivate others by the thing you do. So, I hope you will enjoy this website!
